Popular Mechanics wrote an outstanding review of this drill , it is also well deserved ! Other model s make you switch from drilling and driving modes by rotating a 25 position clutch selector all the way back to zero. But with the Cordless Drill Makita hammer drill you can instantly flip between drill, driver and hammer modes with a small switch. I was able to work above head for extended periods of time and without straining.

I actually compared the Cordless Makita Drill with Milwaukee 0824-20.The Makita Cordless is much faster , powerful and reliable than the Milwaukee. It took the Cordless Drill Makita like ½ a minute to drill 4” into solid concrete . It took the Milwaukee over a minute. Milwaukee battery is heavy and died shortly into the 3rd hole. I was able to drill 6 holes with the Makita and the lithium battery was still going strong !

After my comparisons and a lot of research I realized the ‘Makita LXT218 18-Volt 2-Tool LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Combo Kit had many advantages and features over its competition.I ended up buying this Makita LXT 2 tool CordlessCombo Kit.
I always do my research and nothing came close to this combination of cordless drills. Other features I like are the lights these drills have, they stay lit for 11 seconds after the trigger is released. Kits come with high-tech fan cooled fast smart charger. This increases battery life and means you won’t have to replace batteries every year. Longer battery life is a plus , cordless batteries can be expensive.
